The P-208II itself is amazing for the price. The software does not have some of the key features, especially the ability to scan to editable text format. The result is a piece of hardware hampered by limited software. If you already have all the programs you need, however, or are willing to pay more to buy, it can still be an attractive option.

According to Canon, the P-208II hardware side is essentially unchanged from the imageFORMULA P-208 Scan-tini personal image scanner. The main difference between the two is an improved version of the Canon CaptureOnTouch scanning program for P-208II. The good news is that the new version of CaptureOnTouch is easier to learn and use. However, there is little or no additional capacity, and the scanning speed of at least one of our tests was actually a slower touch for the P-208II than for Canon P-208.
